ABOUT

Frank Maston (b. 1987)  is a Los Angeles–born musician, composer and producer based in Paris. He’s released five albums under his surname and produced and mixed music for numerous other artists. Aside from his solo and production work, Maston has composed music for film, art exhibitions and fashion shows.

He spent his teen years experimenting with writing and recording, and in 2011 he released a series of cassette EPs and began playing live in the L.A. music scene. His debut album, Shadows (2013), was released to positive reviews, with Pitchfork calling him a “bedroom-pop genius.”

In 2017, Maston released his acclaimed second album, Tulips, incorporating new influences from vintage French and Italian soundtrack music. A commission from the library music label KPM led to Panorama (2021), followed the same year by Souvenir, which was recorded live in-studio with Swiss ensemble L’Éclair. In 2026 he released Moving Images, a collaboration with English jazz musician Greg Foat.

Beginning in the summer of 2025, Maston has produced the music for the runway shows of the French fashion brand CELINE.
